DISCOVER A CITY: Berlin

Berlin's history dates back hundreds of years to the 13th Century. It is a charming historic city blessed with engaging scenery and interesting locales. Even though it's famous for its vibrant nightlife, it has a lot of architecture with distinct character. Walking through Berlin is like walking through the history of 20th-century Europe. From the Kingdom of Prussia in the late 1800s, the German Empire of WWI through to Reunified Germany in 1990 and the present day.
The building blocks of Berlin’s vibe are its 12 unique districts. Each district has a different look and feel to it. There are old industrial neighbourhoods that have been revitalized and turned into cultural hubs, as well as sleepy villages, bustling markets, and endless green spaces.
The creative community has established itself in Neukölln. This area includes art galleries and bars. Neukölln also contains a multitude of secret spots and small experimental restaurants unlike anywhere else.

Friedrichshain is one of Berlin’s most famous nightlife areas. It’s home to Berghain, which is known for its strict door policy.
The historic centre of Berlin is called Mitte . It’s one of the cities' most international areas, made up of both the East and West districts. It’s a prime example of how Berlin is in a flux of constant change.
